Punjab Police Constable 2021 Recruitment Notice for 4358 posts

Punjab Police has invited applications for recruitment of eligible candidates for the post of Police Constable in District Police Cadre and Armed Police Cadre. The registration process for a total of 4358 vacancies began on July 16, 2021. The recruitment for filling up vacancies will be carried out through a Common Application Form, CAF and OMR based offline written test followed by Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test.  Candidates must note that the last date to apply for the job post is August 15, 2021. Punjab Police Constable 2021 Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

  • Lower Age Limit: 18 years as on January 1, 2021
  • Upper Age Limit: 28 years as on January 1, 2021

The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, who are residents of Punjab, is 33 years as of January 1, 2021. For candidates who are serving regular employees of the Punjab Government or of other State or Central Government, the upper age limit is 33 years as on January 1, 2021.

Education Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Education Board or University before the last date of online application for this recruitment.
  • The minimum educational qualification is Matriculation for Ex-Serviceman.
  • Candidates must have passed Matriculation Examination with Punjabi subject or any other equivalent exam in Punjabi language.

As per the eligibility criteria, the minimum height required for male candidates is 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 2 inches for female candidates. General category students need to pay Rs 400 application fee and examination fee of Rs 600.

Candidates who belong to SC, ST, Backward Classes of Punjab State and Economically Weaker Sections need to pay a total fee amount of Rs 550. Whereas, Ex-Servicemen of Punjab need to pay a total fee amount of Rs 400. The fee payment can be done using internet banking, debit card, credit card etc.

Punjab Police Constable Recruitment 2021: Selection Process

Applicants must read the instructions available on the recruitment portal carefully before filling the online application form. Candidates must note that they will be considered for posts in cadres for which they have given their preference.

The selection process consists of objective type is written test, document scrutiny, Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test.  Both Physical Measuring Test and Physical Screening Test will be qualifying in nature.  A separate cadre-wise merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written test.
