For most of the subjects (but not all), 20 marks are marked for internal assessment and students have to appear for the 80 marks theory paper in the board exams. As per the passing criteria, students have to score a total of 33 marks (in internal and theory exam).
This was extended in 2020 and now in 2021 board examinations by the board in view of the pandemic. CBSE also has a grace marks policy but students are advised not to rely on the same.

The only person talking was the teacher and she was interrupted by freaking cannon fire farts. She said she was disappointed I couldn’t hold it in and proceeded to tell a story of how she taught a famous athlete who did nearly the same thing.
